Celebration

On Friday at the Kauri Whanau assembly, Aaron and Tayla received certificates for their hard work, positive learning attitude and good manners. Well done!

Jammies in June

On Thursday some students came to school in their PJs. Families donated 300 pairs of PJs and over $1200 to help others!

Wheel-a-thon

Our PTA Wheel-a-thon was a successful event with students cycling or scootering for half an hour to help raise money for a permanent bike track for the school. A fun way to get some exercise and enjoy the beautiful weather outdoors.

Te Reo

In our Te Reo lesson with Mrs Harding, we learned a card game that helped us develop our vocabulary in Maori by searching the cards for items that match and saying the word in Maori.

Speaking and Listening Activity

In Room 17 we are working on our speaking and listening skills. An activity we did to help was to work in a pair. One person drew three shapes on their whiteboard and then had to describe the shapes and position to their partner. The partner tried to draw the same shapes in the same position by listening carefully.

Celebration

Well done to Jimmy and Geena. They received certificates at Friday's Kauri Whanau assembly. 
Geena is a word wizard at Wordstudy (Growth GEMS). Jimmy has demonstrated awesome behaviour and manners (Mana GEMS).
